Using the latest version of WordPress, and also the Event Manager. I can't find anything about getting a iCal/Google calendar feed out. Is there a trick, or is it deceptively simple?
Thanks!

simple :)
yourdomain.com/events.ics
Marcus,
Thanks! Wow, that was fast! :)
For my next, related, issue -- it does not seem to be respecting time zone info correctly -- everything in the feed os off by four hours (events starting at 8PM are appearing at 4PM).
Thanks again!
Are ics feeds available per category?
A few more questions to add to jcollier's query
[1] if the site is private or password protected is the .ics feed protected too?
[2] Can Events Manager import feeds form elsewhere such as google apps?
[3] Can you import from a CSV as you can with google calendar?
[4] +1 category or tag feed.
one question per topic please.
r.e. ical timezone issues its fixed in the next update (i will release today)
Sorry, and, thanks. I'll look forward to the update, Marcus!
I'm new to Events Calendar/Events Calendar Extended. Is there a way to import events from my facebook account? If not, is there way to import the ical from google calendar?
Thanks
sounds like you have the wrong plugin marzz
Marcus,
Installed the update today. Works perfectly. Thanks!
good to know :)
I must be missing something here: I don't seem to have an events.ics file any place on my domain, and certainly not in the document root.
Ergo, yourdomain.com/events.ics doesn't work for me?
Sorry Marcus meant to day Events Manager. Is there a way to import events from Facebook or Google calender into Events Manager(EME). I consolidate other people's event in one local calendar and this would be huge for me.
Thanks
Marzz
eme has nothing to do with em (nor will we add import/export features for it)
I just found the iCal link and gave it a try on my macbook. Worked wonderfully. Looks like all the events on our site loaded to my iCal account. Does this work for PC Users?
Will post my other questions as different threads.
yes it will worked.
Hi all, i just installed the plugin but i can't get any ical feed out by submitting http://mydomain/events.ics. Google didnt recognize that calendar. are there any hints (special rights on directories etc.)? cant find anything in the documentation.
Thanx so far!
can you try icalvalid.cloudapp.net to see if there's any issues
Thank for the quick reply. But for that check i need the events.ics been recognized. But that is the problem - nothing there, like the post from Ron Carnell upper line mentioned. If this is a file created in the filesystem, where is it created and what rights are recomment (mentioned some tricky things here with my provider)? Did i have to activate the feeds somewhere in the options (didnt find any?)
Thanx again :)
should just work by default. by nothing there, do you mean a blank page? if so then you must have a php error of some sort i think (check your logs for more info on what's causing it). another thing to try is disabling other plugins and/or reverting your theme to the default one
I do not have an events.ics file on my site either. I don't even get the normal wordpress 404 page either, I get (in Chrome)
Error 6 (net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND): The file or directory could not be found.
Using Buddypress and WordPress multisite.
@jazbek
does this url yourdomain.com/events.ics doesn't work on you? it is being generated with the help of a template file template/ical.php
I figured out this was also broken because of a memory issue. I set the "iCal Limit" option in the Settings to 1000 and it works now.
The RSS was also broken due to running out of memory, so I edited the rss.php template to limit that to 1000 and it works now also.
have you also take a chance looking into the PHP or wordpress memory limit?
First of all, thanks for this powerful PlugIn.
Are ics files available per single event?!
Is there maybe a placeholder for it?
Thanks
Bojan
not yet (meaning soon it will be)
version 5? ;)
not immediately, but in a subsequent update
location information is coming through as #_LOCATION
Is that a bug? Or am i missing something? All events have a location attached
Thanks!
are you on 5.0.3? works for me
