[Plugin: Events Manager] How to remove NEW from wordpress menu

    I am using buddypress and have a menu bar above the header when members login to make it easy for them to get around the site. For some reason there is a + New menu drop down and the only options in this drop down menu are Location, Event, Recurring Event. I would like to remove this menu from the members bar. I have worked out that if I go into User Capabilities menu within the plugin settings and remove Location, Event, Recurring Event from the membership level then the + NEW goes away. The only problem is that then members can not access or add events to the listings.

    Can anyone help me with this problem?
