Hi,
I'm currently developing a music events based website with Events Manager. The plug-in is absolutely fantastic and is exactly what I've been looking for.
I was simply wondering if in addition to the date picker, I could also allow users to filter by the categories i assign to different events? For example, a user might want to use the website to filter events on a specific date but which are in the jazz category. (Maybe something like a drop-down mini calender together with category drop down box)
I have tried posting in the Events Manager forum with no luck unfortunately.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. :)
I couldn't see your post on the forum, sorry if we missed it. to answer your question, it could be possible but it's not something the plugin does automatically, it's something you'd have to do yourself (or hire a developer).

I was hoping to be able to do that same thing. That would be a very useful enhancement.

I was also hoping for that same thing. Does anyone know how to do this?
If they complete the transition to "events are posts" then I would guess you could use regular categories and code of the form described at http://codex.wordpress.org/Displaying_Posts_Using_a_Custom_Select_Query
I think this is possible with competing plugins?
it's already possible, check the docs, e.g using these in shortcodes: http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/event-search-attributes/
