[Plugin: Events Manager Extended] Events page template

Greetings,

Love the plugin but have a question on its functionality.

I have a page titled “Upcoming Events” that I have set up to act as the designated page to take on the Events Manager default via the “Events page” settings. It is set up as a custom page template via the WP backend. According to the plugin, “This option allows you to select which page to use as an events page.
The content of this page (including shortcodes of any kind) will be ignored completely and dynamically replaced by events data.” That is fine, but what if I want to add extra content to this page and NOT also have it displayed on every single events pages? How can this be done seeing as how the Upcoming Events page is now being overridden by the plugin?

I would like to only have the “”EcoDivas love to party…” text (which is included in the template) show up on the main calendar page.
