We are a business and our events manager plugin on our website doesn’t seem to be working. We have had so many calls with customers saying that once they have filled in the booking form they are getting a box saying ‘please wait while the booking is being submitted’ then nothing happens. We also don’t receive the booking. Any ideas?? HELP PLEASE!

  • Have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

I didn’t set up the website and as it is for our business I am a bit too worried to disable all our plugins…
and our website is all set up so can’t really change the theme as I don’t know how to get it back.

    Thanks though

you can use chrome or firebug instead to check for any javascript or jquery error by right clicking then inspect element and use it’s console (click persist for firebug)

-one of the reason might be your theme jquery is outdated.(updating your theme jquery might solve the issue)

How do you update a theme jquery?

better to ask your theme provider (they can explain much better).

Hi I did the inspect element thing and I got this…

‘Resource interpreted as Script but transferred with MIME type application/octet-stream: “http://widgets.digg.com/buttons/count?url=http%3A//www.aosec.org.uk/events/teacher-training-network-3”.’

^ This had a yellow exclamation mark next to it.

    Then below that I got…

‘Unable to post message to http://www.stumbleupon.com Recipient has origin http://www.aosec.org.uk.’

^ This had a red cross next to it.

    Any ideas?

tried clicking on a few events but it’s all booked, if you can post a link to an event with a booking form still up, I could look, but 99% chance it’s a conflict with your theme or another plugin, so the first step is to disable other plugins to figure out the culprit.

Hi Marcus, if you go to the last page of events there is ‘MIS’ and there is still a booking form. However the ‘submit booking’ button is no longer there! Ahhhh

are you using Pro for this? If so, please post this on the pro forums and we’ll help you out there.

    I’d also check two things:

    – If you edited your templates, try using the defaults to see if it’s that.
    – Try turning off the quick pay buttongs in Settings > Booking Options > Pro Booking Form Options

I can’t seem to find any forum for events manager pro…

We don’t edit the templates and we don’t get payment over the internet. We work with colleges so get purchase order numbers through and then invoice them.

“If so, please post this on the pro forums” means the plugins’ Pro forum.
