Events Manager not working with Norwegian Bokmål (8 posts)

I have been trying to install WordPress Manager with a Noregian Bokmål install, but whenever I activate the plugin I get an error saying I do not have enough rights to view that page, which is for every single page in dashboard.

The problem is fixed by swapping language to one of the languages with a translation. I even tried to make a Norwegian Bokmål translation, both a new one and a copied renamed swedish one, without success.

Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

    Hi,

I just tried your issue and works fine on me. Here's my step (please correct me if I'm wrong)

    1. Install Noregian Bokmål language pack base on http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language

    2. I followed steps from this url http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language

    3. Install EM and activated successfully

If incase we both followed the same steps and still not working please try also to check your user capability.

I installed a completely new fresh install of nb_NO WordPress (fresh download) and downloaded a completely new copy of Events Manager (4.305) on a clean database using admin as user (who is administrator). Same error as before.

Then I changed the write access to the upload folder for events-manager and subfolder, with no result. Tried making a translation, still no result.

I'm running it locally on a OS X 10.6.8 with standard built in Apache, MySQL 5.0.8 and PHP 5.3.6

must be something to do with the language if it works with other languages. what pages do you get these errors on? every page, or just EM pages?

Every single dashboard page, WordPress is in other words not usable.

do you get any php errors? Not sure what to say here, sounds more like a WP bug than an EM bug.... nothing I can think of that should prevent EM from working here.

No php errors, just the error message.

very odd, my suggestion for now would be to try the betas and see if that helps. otherwise will have to check this out once v5 is out.
