EM Events Tables Don't Exist after reinstall (3 posts)

I was recently having some issues with the Events Manager plugin for a client and discovered that there were some issues with writing to tables because they had installed, reinstalled and used other similar plugins in the past. So I deactivated and deleted the plugin, as well as removed the associated tables in the database, because it seemed that old information left in the tables was the source of the problem.

When I reinstalled and activated the plugin, I received the following errors:

    SELECT * FROM wp_em_bookings LEFT JOIN wp_em_events ON wp_em_events.event_id=wp_em_bookings.event_id LEFT JOIN wp_em_locations ON wp_em_locations.location_id=wp_em_events.location_id WHERE (recurrence!=1 ORrecurrence` IS NULL) AND ( event_start_date >= CAST('2012-03-08' AS DATE) OR (event_end_date >= CAST('2012-03-08' AS DATE) AND event_end_date != '0000-00-00' AND event_end_date IS NOT NULL)) AND booking_status=0

WordPress database error: [Table 'databasename.wp_em_events' doesn't exist]
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_em_events LEFT JOIN wp_em_locations ON wp_em_locations.location_id=wp_em_events.location_id WHERE (recurrence!=1 OR recurrence IS NULL) AND (event_status=0 OR event_status = 0 ) ORDER BY event_start_date ASC, event_start_time ASC, event_name ASC

WordPress database error: [Table 'databasename.wp_em_events' doesn't exist]
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_em_events LEFT JOIN wp_em_locations ON wp_em_locations.location_id=wp_em_events.location_id WHERE recurrence=1 AND (event_status=0 OR event_status = 0 ) ORDER BY event_start_date ASC, event_start_time ASC, event_name ASC`

I also see these messages in my WP_Debug log:

`WARNING: wp-includes/functions.php:4662 - Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/holistic-medicine/wp-includes/wp-db.php:955)
WARNING: wp-includes/class-wp.php:377 - Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/holistic-medicine/wp-includes/wp-db.php:955)
WARNING: wp-includes/functions.php:1679 - Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/holistic-medicine/wp-includes/wp-db.php:955)
WARNING: wp-admin/admin-header.php:9 - Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/holistic-medicine/wp-includes/wp-db.php:955)`

    Any suggestions?

    Please see this docs http://wp-events-plugin.com/blog/2012/01/05/events-gone-after-upgrading-read-this/

    try these portion

Next, you should visit yourwordpresssite.com/wp-admin/options.php and find an input box named ‘dbem_version’, you should see a number greater than 5, set it to 4.9.

Finally, load up an EM admin page and wait whilst the upgrade goes through!

    Note: Backup everything first.

That fixed it for me. I read the docs (http://wp-events-plugin.com/blog/2012/01/05/events-gone-after-upgrading-read-this/) and updated the line of code in my upgrade.php file, then changed the dbem_version number from 5.xxx to 4.9 (It seemed to reset itself right away), then navigated to my events and created a new event.

I ended up deleting all posts, which may have helped.

The problem did not seem to fix itself immediately, but within a few clicks through the admin screens (just navigating around a little bit), all the errors disappeared.

Thanks @agelonwl for the quick response and for putting me on the right track! Huge help!
