  • that page uses this shortcode [nggallery id=x] in the event details

you can also use the integrated WP gallery shortcode.

In the event edit window, I place [nggallery id=1] in the details window, update, and then view the event. The gallery doesn’t display. Only “[nggallery id=1]” shows up. The same goes for a WordPress gallery. Only the shortcode displays with the event details text.

I am using a child theme based upon Twenty Twelve.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi @ericreynolds007,

I just tried this again and seems to worked perfectly; here’s what I tried

    1. added a new gallery and photos using nextgen
    2. created a new event and then I add the nextgen shortcode [nggallery id=1] in the event details or description using Text Editor
    3. I added placeholders #_EVENTNOTES at Settings > Formatting > Events > Default single event format
    4. tested and works great
