Events Manager
Display calendar by category and state (7 posts)

I have a website where I want to display a calendar using state and category as conditionals.

For example, a visitor indicates which state he is in and what category of event he is interested in doing in that state. The visitor is then taken to a page that shows a calendar of the events in that specific category AND State.

I tried this: [events_calendar category="2" state="California"], but I noticed that the state conditional isn't working. The calendar simply shows category 2 events in all states, however, I want it to only show category 2 events in California.

How can I do this? Any help would be great.

Sorry, I made a mistake in my post...that's what I did try [events_calendar category="2" state="California"], but it doesn't filter the state. It does for the category.

    Any other ideas?

just released 4.302 btw, the bug is fixed in that.

for those reading, if you search by country, remember to use the country code, e.g. IE = Ireland, US = USA, ES = Spain, GB=United Kingdom

Thanks for the quick fix! It shows the quality of your plug-in. FYI for users, the state needs to be abbreviated (i.e., "CA", "AZ", "FL", etc.)

So in my case, to show a calendar that is filtered by state and category, it would look like this:
    [events_calendar category="2" state="CA"]

Actually, not the case for states, because that's taken from the available state values in your locations table.
