I upgraded to latest version (2.2.1) of Events plugin. Now, when I go to WP Admin page, the only option under Events is 'Manage Categories'. I tried to deactivate/activate plugin, but that did not help. If I uninstall/reinstall the plugin, will I lose all my current event entries?

you can downgrade to version 2.1.1 without the risk of loosing the data. I've done this, since I had the same problem (adding and editing does not work with 2.2.1)

Hi there, If it helps I had the same problem and I downgraded also. My data was preserved and it continued to work. Hope that helps. :)

Thanks, removing Events 2.2.1 and installing version 2.1.1 did the trick.
Don't we have a better option than downgrading? It's a bit lame for a month to go by after a plugin upgrade and the loss of essential functionality to not be fixed.
Is there anyone running 2.2.1 who *can* still see the add/manage events link?
I think /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp-events2 is the URL that this link gives - when I go directly there, I get "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page" even though I'm the admin.
The solution is here:

I had to log out then back in after re-saving the main settings panel.

Thanks again for sharing :)
Just want to say a huge thank you for this post. It had been driving me insane and Gyrus's solution fixed the issue for me immediately. Wonderful! :)
