   hi,
   i have a parent category which should be the events category and 3 subcategories which should behave like other normal subcategories in my website.

   yet posts that have been created in the past don't show up under the subcategories.

   in the parent events category, it does not matter, since there will always be posts that are valid for the running month (i date the post to be published the last day of the current month and it shows up nicely until for the time of the running month).
   yet in the subcategories, there won't be happening much for a while which will makes the posts in the subcategory expire and not show up.

   how can i modify the plugin, so that if there's no currently valid post, the last post published is shown.
   ... or simply, how to make the subcategoreis behave like the subcategories from a normal category?
