   Hello - I am trying to add the next upcoming event from my events calendar into my sidebar. I am not using a sidebar widget.
   I just want to add the date and title of the next one event with a link through to the information about the event.
   Can anyone help as I cannot seem to get this to work!

   Sounds like you should use the event list.

   I am using that as a main page - can I just grab part of it and add it to the sidebar code?
