Event-O-Matic
[resolved] Problem Adding Events to Calendar (5 posts)

I've been using Event-O-Matic for several months now and I am very happy with it.

However, I have all of a sudden come across a weird error where I can no longer change the date for new events. When I click on "choose date" in the administrative screen on the "create a new event" page nothing happens. Similarly, it doesn't work from the public submission form either. I have tried in Firefox and Internet Explorer.

This was working fine until I upgraded to WordPress 3.3. Perhaps there is an issue?

    Any help would be appreciated!

I am having the exact same problem. After upgrading to WordPress 3.3, the "Choose date" link now shows up and clicking it does nothing.

The "Choose date" link was never there in WP 3.2.1.
This plugin is useless if I can't select a date.

Anybody got a solution to this?

Hey Vinda, I found the solution and it works on my WP site.

After you upgrade to WP3.3, you will need to download the new jQuery datepicker at http://www.kelvinluck.com/assets/jquery/datePicker/v2/demo/scripts/jquery.datePicker.js

Then, overwrite the jquery.datepicker.js file in your Event-O-Matic installation at wp-content/plugins/event-o-matic/js

Remember to make the filename all lowercase. Refresh your web browser, and you should be able to choose a date now.

Hope that helps. It worked for me.

This fixed it. Thanks for sharing your solution.

I had a hunch it was related to jquery but I didn't have the time to look into it yet.
