The calendar was displaying up until the latest update. Any idea how to fix it? Here's a sample page: http://www.beachedmiami.com/events/?id=781&vid=2

    Thanks!

Calendar looks good to me. What isn't displaying?

Here are some screenshots showing the individual event listing pages for a few listings. The map is not rendering in any browser for me. Just the address.

The issue is that the map is not displaying for you? Anything else?

No, that's my only issue. It was displaying before the recent update. Thanks for your attention to this issue.

I'll look into it. We updated the map framework for quicker processing. Let's see if this can't be fixed quickly.

I installed the plugin on several different setups and could see the map without issue.
The div id #eom_map that used to contain the map does not anymore. You should simply see a map image with a link surrounding it.
Confirm that the map isn't being hidden by your stylesheet.

Looking on your site I've noticed that the map item isn't there.
Confirm that you've downloaded the update correctly. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the plugin.

    I'll try that now.

Will I lose my current event listings if I delete the plugin and then reinstall?

I've just updated the core to 2.5.2

When you see the update, go ahead and run the plugin update and see if everything runs smoother.

It looks like certain files within the plugin cure didn't install for you, as I also cant see the 'add to my calendar' link that was added to this release. Try that before uninstalling /reinstalling.

    I just ran it.

The update didn't fix the issue, and there's nothing in the stylesheet that would hide the map.

Are you running WP Page Cache or some other supercache?

The plugin updates aren't showing on the event pages. There is no ical download link. Essentially the plugin doesn't look like it has been updated, but the JS that renders the map has. This is why you are having display issues.

No, cacheing isn't the issue. This is a problem, I believe, of my own doing. When I first installed EOM a while ago, there were certain features that I didn't want to use. I'm an amateur when it comes to this stuff, and I stupidly starting hacking away at the code to erase what I didn't want (instead of handling it via CSS!). Well, that worked OK until I ran a subsequent EOM update, and the plugin just broke down (my fault). At that point, I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled, but the problems remained. So I asked a developer to take a look and he fixed the problem in part by creating a separate plugin that he called EOM Extend. I don't know what it does, but it did the trick -- until I ran the latest plugin and the map disappeared.

All that said, I really don't want to take up more of your time, and I can live (unhappily) without the map. In any case, I really appreciate your help here.

So I just realized that the short code I am using on that URL (beachedmiami.com/events) is [eom-extend-full-listings] and rendered by the EOM Extension plugin. I just put the EOM shortcode [eom-events] on a mock-up page at http://www.beachedmiami.com/eom-mock/. As you can see, the styling is a mess. Do you know why it is rendering as a list on that page with no images?

    Ah. That would make sense.
The eom itself uses the list format for the overview page. This can of course be overridden with a stylesheet on your theme page.

What features were added / modified in the extended build? This may be something that I could add as new features to this plugin.

I'm not sure everything that it did, some troubleshooting and at least one feature add-on to allow users to create a venue during the submission process (see http://www.beachedmiami.com/submit-events).

I'm confused as to how I can style the standard list format to look like I have it now. How to get the images to display, for example?

I thought the standard format on the overview page was a list with images (very similar to what I have now or what you see at http://sweatrecordsmiami.com/events, which also uses EOM).

Let me see if I can update the core to include some of these changes on the overview page.

In the meantime, I'm curious if I will lose my current event listings if I uninstall/reinstall.

No, but uninstalling / reinstalling won't fix the problem on your site. The plugin either has to be updated (by me) or you have to get the fixes readded manually by the developer who altered it for you originally.

What happend it seems is that you updated the extended plugin which doesn't contain the changes your developer made which is why it looks like it does now.

Ah. In theory, I know how to restyle the list format to make it look like I want (I just did so using Firebug). But in practice I don't know how to make the changes. For example, how do I change a list item (li) to a div, and then add id/class to the div so that I can style it? Doesn't that require altering the plugin code? Excuse my ignorance ...

Yes, to make that change you would need to update the code within the plugin, in the event-o-matic.php page.

I'm liable to do more harm than good if I take a stab at that. Hello square one!
