I am trying to take advantage of your events calendar but i am having trouble adding contributors. can people submit their email via that form or do i have to add them on my wordpress admin as event contributor? If it is via the submission form it will tell people to check their email again but you cant add any text to the email field.

you can check out http://www.takeovertokyo.com to see what i am working with.

They add their email, and then click submit where they can add their name and the event details. I just did it on your page without issue.

You have both the listings and the event form on the same page. Put the shortcode for each on seperate pages. Using permalinks is a good idea as well. Go to settings->permalinks and enable them.

ok i enabled permalinks and made "create an event" its own page.

Disable your theme and attempt with the standard wordpress 2012 theme. See if the error persists.

You can post events via the Standard WordPress theme but not the one for your website?

Hmm, not sure what the issue is. I've attempted to replicate your problem on several different sites and have been unable. Confirm you don't have any conflicting plugins.
