Event List
[resolved] Almost there, a bit buggy though (9 posts)

I added 2 events and noticed the following issues:

    - Multiple Day Event checked itself automatically, and added a second date on it's own. I was able to go back and edit it to remove that extra date.

    - You cannot use quotes in the event title OR the description (wysiwyg text editor) either... It changed the formatting by adding slashes around it, and every time I edited that event, it added another set of slashes! So after editing 3 times, it now looks like this:

    \\\"This Doesn\\\'t Work\\\"

If I come across anything else, I'll post details..

    Thanks~

    Thanks for the info.
I can reproduce booth issues and will fix them in the next release.
I will try to release the next version in a few days.

I am happy to see a simple Event list plugin that is actively being developed!!

I have installed it for a client and have the following feedback:

    1. The visual/html editor tabs aren't working well for me. I had the visual editor by default, then flipped to the HTML editor so that I could find out why the line breaks and p tags were being stripped. They were there, so I flipped back over to visual and it collapses (no content pane) and no editing tools above the pane. So, in visual mode, if the event is saved, all line breaks and p tags are stripped in the source code. When saved in HTML, they aren't. (Problem: client requires visual editor)

    2. Restyling is not too difficult - thank you for that.

I've only put one event up to test it out - I will style it with alternating background colors if this winds up working out and am happy to share the design if you want to offer it in your setup options.

Oh - also, the date input is backward, if possible could it be month-day-year?

    Event List 0.2.0 Screenshots

If you'll see the screenshot above, I just upgraded to 0.2.0 and the issues still exist. The visual tab displays HTML and won't flip to the HTML tab - no editing tools present.

The "test event" on the page shows what appears when typed normally into the add event pane. No line breaks, they need to be forced in with HTML using the visual editor pane.

    There are no settings available.

Would LOVE for this to work! Lots of potential here!

The date format is actually not set according to the wordpress setting. Also the weekday and month names are only displayed in English and not according to the given language settings. I will include that definitely in one of the next versions.

I can not reproduce your other problem. If I change back from HTML to Visual it works as expected in all my installations. Are you sure you only have this problem in the event-list editor? I have used the wordpress included editor so please check if you also have this problem in the page or post edit page.

Figured out the HTML/Visual tab - conflict with CForms plugin - removed it and replaced it with another custom forms plugin, all is right with the world.

Looking forward to progress on your plugin, mibuthu!
