Only use option list and no product list (9 posts)

I have a shop which sells products in only two version which have a fixed price. So, for all the products in the shop it would be easiest if I could only make an option list with two choices. Then, if I would ever need to change the prices, it could be done from within one central location for all the products. I don't understand what settings I would need to make to get this done. Any suggestions?

Create a single product page with 2 options for the product.

Yes, but I have hundreds of 'identical' products with each two or three options which are the same. Like this:

    Product 1
    1. Fysical product (€ 25)
    2. Product part (€10)
    3. Downloadable version (€ 5)

The same for product 2, 3 etc. In all cases the options and pricing is the same. It's about books by the way ;)

That looks like something I can use :). But still, it would be easier to have an option to choose sitewide prices, because now for each product the editor has to write down the same info (the three available formats for each product), again and again...

It's like this. When I sell books, each post is one product is one book. That book can be ordered in three different ways, all fixed prices: soft cover, hard cover, e-book. So the only thing I would need is a checkbox beneath the post.

You could create an option set for these products: soft cover, hard cover, e-book.

I think this doesn't work. I created an optionset like you said. Then I would have to choose for '1 product option' in the eshop settings, because '0 option' is not possible.

In the post of the product I could set the price to 0.00. A customer could then choose to but a hardcover edition + an e-book edition. But a download can not be attached to an option within an optionset, only to a product option itself. So, buying an hard cover edition would also enable mean the customer would get a link to the e-book edition. Also, the customer can not choose for 2 hard cover editions and one e-book, other then order them seperately.

Then you are just going to have to enter these products individually.

I was already afraid of that ... ;)
