[Plugin: eShop] IPN Failed (3 posts)

    using eshop 2.9.3

    Paypal says the payment went through but I get an email from eshop saying that the IPN failed (in the body of the email, it also says that payment was completed).

    I have checked that the currency, location and email address match between my eshop settings and my paypal settings.

    Paypal IPN settings (on paypal in the screen where you turn IPN on) requires an IPN response URL and I know I have the incorrect URL there. Could that cause it? If so, what should that URL be?

    If not, what else could the problem be?

    Were you getting successful transactions before this?

    Check the email address being used as well, make sure it is the primary one at paypal. You don't need to fill in the URL at paypal for IPN as that is handled by the data sent to paypal.

    I'd also suggest upgrading to the lastest release of eShop.

    I changed the PRIMARY email address on my paypal account to match the email address in eshop and it worked. Thanks!
