Enhanced Menu Editor
[resolved] Add to Menu doesn't nest pages (3 posts)

    Howdy,

I'm using the excellent Auto Submenu plugin to automatically create menus for new pages, and Enhanced Menu Editor seems like the perfect companion to easily create a menu the first time and to synchronize it after deletions or other changes.

But when I do Select All and Add to Menu in View All, the pages are all set to the root of the menu when they should be nested. Is this working for anyone?

This is a confirmed bug in wordpress - http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/18271

It is definitely something I can fix as an added feature to Enhanced Menu Editor. Unfortunately it's something that I won't really have time for in the near future as my wife and I are expecting our daughter to be born in a couple of weeks. So I'm pretty much out of free time to implement new features.

And since the core developers have sat on the problem for over a year now, I would suspect that this won't be resolved any time soon.

Fortunately the interface is drag n drop, so it's better than having to expand every menu item and adjust individually similar to how page hierarchies work.

Oh, so that's supposed to work with core alone, and what EME actually provides is the reverse, adjusting the page structure to match a menu's.

But never mind this! Congratulations! Just let us know when and where can we pick up our cigars. :)
