[Plugin: Email Users] Seems to work, but emails not sent

Have not been able to get this to work on my self-hosted blog, sending email to multiple users. Have tried and tested different settings. Have two dummy users with different email addresses, not connected to wp email address. Have checked both receive mail boxes in their profiles. Have installed and configured WP-SMTP and successful test message sent to one of dummy user’s email address.

I then try choose Send to Users, am able to select both dummy users, it says there is a succesful send to 2 users, but nothing arrives in their mailbox. Have tried with both HTML and plain text. I AM getting three copies of it in the admin’s mailbox, though. So, it’s sending all copies to that mailbox?

Am giving up…just spent the last three hours with it. Will move on to another way…..
