[Plugin: Email Users] notify group via incoming email

Hey Guys,

I would very much like to be able to notify a group of WP of role x by sending an email. Very similar to how the google groups auto email notification works here: http://support.google.com/groups/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=46242

Would this be possible somehow?

Essentially I want to notify all users of role x that a member in same role has registered for an event. The event will fire off an admin notification email after registration and I want those emails to be sent to the entire group of users.

Ideas? Happy to pay for the help.
