• Hi
Been using the plugin for a while and it works well.

I set up a new category which is is a twitter replacement, so it doesn’t show in my main blog list and as a result I don’t want it to have the related post app on them.

I’ve excluded the category in the Settings Area, but as far as I can tell it only excludes the content that category from being listed, not actually hiding the related posts from that category.

Is there a way to do this?
I could use !is_category(‘category-name’), but I don’t know quite where to put it?

Would be more useful if it was in the settings area so it could be set there and not need to be re-done when new updates are made.

  • I have a similar problem. I excluded some certain categories under “Ignore Categories” in the General Settings, but that has no effect on the related posts showing up in that ignored categories. Since i don’t use tags in these excluded categories, there is always “No related posts” putted out below an article.

It seems that the above mentioned “ignore”-setting just excludes the choosen categories from being shown in the related posts right?

Is it possible to add an option, to remove related posts completely, so that they were not auto inserted into posts of deactivated categories? That would be very useful!
