Editorial Calendar
Unscheduled Drafts Never Load (23 posts)

I made a draft like 5 minute ago and saved. It is not loading on the Unscheduled drafts. It keeps loading forever.
Plus I posted a post in October last year and changed it so I published it on May 12. That post is also not showing in the calendar.

    Please help.

Thanks for using the Editorial Calendar. It sounds like you might be having an error when the calendar loads. Are there any errors in the JavaScript console of your browser when this happens? If you disable other plugins does the problem go away?

    Thanks,
    Zack

Hmm... I'll see about the Javascript Console, but I am using Use Google Libraries Plugin.

This seems to be working on my main blog. This isn't working on my multisite blog. http://tech.akshayproductions.com/

Does your multisite blog have different plugins than your main blog? Can you try disabling those plugins and see if it fixes the issue?

All the plugins are the same. The error also occurs on my main blog but then after I refresh it shows my post from November.

Any chance I could log into your blog and see the error myself? You can send the login to zack@grossbart.com.

    Thanks,
    Zack

    JQuery Problem?

I've seen issues like this before. The calendar makes requests to your blog to get your post information and gets the data back in a format called JSON. The error you're seeing indicates that the JSON is invalid.

This issue is normally caused by another plugin injecting some HTML data into the JSON which makes it invalid. Have you tried disabling other plugins to see if it resoles the issue?

    Thanks,
    Zack

WordPress SEO is having major problems on Multisite's right now. I think that might be the problem. I'll wait.

We were able to resolve this issue for a lot of our users. It happened on blogs which had a large number of posts because the calendar was a making a call that loaded all posts which caused PHP to run out of memory and through the 500 error.

This should all be fixed in the latest version of the calendar. What version are you using?

    Thanks,
    Zack

That's true, i tested plugin on a different site with fewer posts, and it is working fine there. I am using latest version 2.4.
Waiting for new version. And thanks for making such a great plugin.

This issue should be fixed in version 2.4. I'm concerned that it might be another issue. Is there any other difference between the two blogs? Do you have any other plugins or themes? Same version of WordPress?

Do you have a general idea of the total number of posts in your blog? 500, 1,000, 10,000, more?

    Thanks,
    Zack

i tested it on the same blog. it was not working for 4000 posts. But if we reduced posts below 1000, somewhere 700-800. It works. Right now i am using it with all plugins enabled and there are 300+ posts. And these posts are custom type posts.if you want me to collect some data for diags, i can do it

My issue is resolved, although I havent checked it in a while I'm not sure if it is working. I'm pretty sure it is. By the way, I only had about 2 - 5 posts when it was not working.

That does sound like a different issue. Is there any chance I could log into your blog so I can see this happening?

    Thanks,
    Zack

Hmmm.... really strange. I started having this problem (no drafts) last week. I took a look at my Javascript console and see -

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ) edcallib.min.js:42
    JSON.parseIt edcallib.min.js:42
    edcal.cacheDates.(anonymous function).jQuery.ajax.success edit.php:1011
    f.Callbacks.o load-scripts.php:2
    f.Callbacks.p.fireWith load-scripts.php:2
    w load-scripts.php:4
    f.support.ajax.f.ajaxTransport.send.d load-scripts.php:4

I've been experimenting with disabling other plugins. Now the crazy thing is I've found TWO plugins that are both causing the error - Wordbooker version 2.1.15 AND Jetpack version 1.7. If I enable either, I get a blank calendar. Both disabled, works fine.

Oh, and for reference, my blog has over 7,000 posts. Good luck tracking down the issue.
