[Plugin: Editorial Calendar] Mass Edit Post dates for future calendar posting???

    tonight i am setting up a month of posts…

    I repost old posts and drafts i have sitting.

    today is the 11th …
    so i would like to go to my posts page and do a search that brings back 20 posts
    then select them all and schedule them for the 17th …

    then once they are all on the 17th i would drag them into other days using your calender plugin…

    Unfortunately you can only quick edit publish dates for single posts…

    you can’t select 20 posts then apply-edit them to change their date

    So do you have any suggestion for how i can checkbox a group of posts and set their date to a week forward from now… then drag them around in the calendar?

    Thanks for using the Editorial Calendar. The calendar doesn’t support moving multiple posts at the same time. Unfortunately the only way to move them is to select them one at a time.

    maybe this is a difficult question to explain…

    I have 20,000 posts that have been posted over the past few years… I want to take some of them from past dates and push them into next week so I can use your plugin to arrange them for re-posting over the next month.

    unfortunately it is a very slow process to grab a group of posts from 2010 and put them in Next Week … that way they will be ready for arranging by using your plugin…

    Basically you have to quick edit each post .. change its date.

    You cant set the dates for a group of posts.

    If you have 20,000 posts to move you might want to do that with code. WordPress let’s you export your posts as an XML file and then import them. You could export your posts, make changes to them programmatically, and then import them at the new dates.
