   Is it possible to query hostname and show that info? Or does that require shell_exec (disabled in my host; and I see warning messages about this within this plugin).

   e.g. http://network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=lookup&host=80.229.253.140

   Yes, the 'host' call requires shell access, but the v. 0.94 release will have an option to use functions that don't require it. Should be out in a couple weeks.
