I had to deactivate all plugins to solve another problem and having deactivated Easy Gallery, half of my front page has disappeared (where this plugin was used) along with all the images that had been uploaded to the gallery page on my website. This isn't a problem I've had with any other plugins so surely this one doesn't delete everything when you deactivate it? Does anyone know if this can be restored or have a solution?

I know of no such bugs with this plugin. Did this happen immediately after deactivation? Had you deactivated and reactivated it previously? Does reactivating it solve the problem?
The plugin is pretty non-invasive, I'd suspect another plugin is to blame.
