Vertical Scroll Wheel not working in PDF

PDF opens fine in a fancybox window but I am unable to scroll down using the scroll wheel on a mouse, arrow keys work fine though.

Scrolling should work. Do you have a link?

Or look at the different implementations on my sandbox test page http://demo.4visions.nl/easy-fancybox-sandbox/pdf-embeds/ and see if scrolling fails for you there...

None of those open in a fancy box for me, I was unable to get anything using the google viewer to do that on my site, had to just host the pdf on my own server.

    As for a link:

The Google Viewer actually wants your document hosted on your site or elsewhere. As long as it is publicly accessible. Use

    <a class="nofancybox fancybox-iframe" href="https://docs.google.com/gview?url=http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5217621/The%20Secret%20World/The_Secret_World_Guide.pdf&embedded=true">Open in iFrame with Google Docs Viewer</a>

Looking at your site, I can open and scroll inside the PDF just fine. It sounds like a browser plugin issue to me... What browser are you using?

What happens if you open the file http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5217621/The%20Secret%20World/The_Secret_World_Guide.pdf directly in your browser? Can you scroll then?

Seems it is only not working with chrome atm on my computer as well as a friends.

Is working correctly with IE8/9 and FireFox though.

And yes, if I open the link directly I can scroll just fine, even in chrome.

Right, I see that happen in Chrome too and it seems to me a browser plugin thing. The Chrome browser does not use the regular PDF plugin by Adobe. I'm afraid I really cannot say anything useful about it. I'll have to do some testing to see if it's something in the request parameters that causes this but otherwise I cannot do anything about it.

In the mean time, could you disable PDF and enable iFrame on Settings > Media and use the code I suggested before?

Coming back: you might need to use http:// instead of https:// in that URL...

Putting it in an iframe did the trick, however it cut the width of the page in half for some reason.

Got a (new) link to a live sample of the issue?
