[resolved] Strange artifact on close button - why? (9 posts)

    Hey people! I'm using this brilliant plugin on my website, but I'm struggling with the little close button on images. It shows up with a black vertical line next to it, and it just looks a bit odd. Check it here;

    How can I remove that black thing next the close button (and those small dots underneath it)? Any input on this much appreciated! :)

    There is a CSS rule in your themes main stylesheet that causes this:

    a {
    ...
    margin: 0px -1px;
    padding: 0px 1px;
    ...
    }

    It's that left/right padding of 1px applied to EVERY single link on the page that makes this happen.

    Find it in the stylesheet and put #container in front of the a so it starts like this:

    #container a {
    ...

    Thanks a lot for your help, man, but that "container" seems to mess up a lot of other things with links and images for some reason. Anyways, it's just a minor thing, it doesn't matter that much, still looks pretty good. :)

    Thanks a lot for your reply though, much appreciated! :)

    OK, alternative: add at the end of your stylesheet the following rule to override the padding.

    #fancybox-wrap a {
      margin: 0;
      padding: 0;
    }

    Ah, fantastic, that worked a treat! :) I still have those strange small dotted lines underneath the X though, know what causes that?

    Thanks a lot, mate, looks a lot better now! :)

    #fancybox-wrap a {
      margin: 0;
      padding: 0;
      border: 0;
    }
    #fancybox-wrap a:hover {
      border: 0;
    }

    should do the trick :)

    Hi RavanH

    I'm also experiencing a problem in Easy Fancybox. When i close it the form just minimize a bit that's why the page where the form is located is ruined because the whole form does not completely close.

    burningrubber, fancybox not closing sounds like a javascript conflict. try to find double jquery.(min.)js, jquery.fancybox.js or jquery.easing.js in your site source...
