[resolved] cache freezing state of shopping cart? (6 posts)

    I have a

    • multisite installation
    • WP Super Cache
    • EDD v1.2.1.1 and WP 3.4.2
    • admin dashboard login redirect of non admin users, but allows requests if DOING AJAX is true
    • EDD ajax disabled, redirect to shopping cart after shortcode purchase button click
When WP Super Cache is turned off, things work as expected. But when it's on, the last previous state seems to freeze, e.g. items remain in the shopping cart and remain after being removed. When I access the site from a different computer the state is still saved, e.g. I load the front page and there are already items in the shopping cart without adding them.

  2. It sounds like one of the options in WP Super Cache is causing the conflicts. Have you tried turning off each option one at a time to see if you can pin down which one it is?

I had all the settings marked Recommended enabled for WP Super Cache, along with the other preset settings enabled.

I uninstalled WP Super Cache and installed W3 Total Cache, the shopping cart now works as expected.

  4. Ok I'll try an do a compatibility test with WP Super Cache to see if I can find what the exact conflict it.

  5. We now have docs for both W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache on how to configure them:

My big no-no was selecting "Use mod_rewrite to serve cache files. (Recommended)" and making sure the settings per https://easydigitaldownloads.com/docs/wp-super-cache/ were made.
