We just asked a friend to buy something off our new site. The plugin registered a sale in the dashboard from our friend, we received payment, but she didn’t get any download info in her email, as follows:

    Thank you ,
We appreciate you taking the time to shop at [-------------].

    You shopped on 2012-05-31 00:46:03
    Here are your download links:

    Your total purchase was 0

I’ve looked up and down the dashboard for a setting I missed, and don’t see it. We set up a receipt email with template tags that do work (as you can see the time in the above example).

I assume that the email is how a customer gets the links to download what they bought, right?

We’re going “live” in over 24 hours when a online magazine ad for us will be public. We need to get this working.

Only other plugins we’re using: Official StatCounter Plugin

We’re hosted on GoDaddy, and our WordPress version is 3.3.2. Plugin is the latest release 1.0.8.1

If you go to your Payment History page, does it show the payment as “complete” or “pending”?

    “Pending” is what it says.

Ok the problem is that the payment wasn’t able to be verified from PayPal. This usually happens when PayPal can’t fully communicate with your site.

We’ve had quite a few users report this problem and have been working to fix it. I’m pushing up an update, v1.0.8.2, within the next two hours that will hopefully fix it. If you could, please watch for the update and then test it again.

Okay, it’s not just us then. We’ll watch for it. We’ve got other things to fix in the meantime. Thanks.

The new version is live. We’ve tested it extensively and the problem should be resolved.

If you end up still having trouble, then it is likely an issue caused by the host. There are a variety of settings that hosts can define that would cause the payment verification to break. We’ve tried to account for them, but there is always something more.

Just let me know if it fails.
