Easy Adsense Plugin Forces Ad to Amazon!!! (4 posts)

So... decided to check what's happening with my Easy Adsense Plugin. Guess I am not alone. The plugin was always shady... but now, it forces an Ad to Amazon!!

It shows up ONLY in my site's homepage - not in posts.

Even if I choose 2 ad blocks and put my code in the right boxes, the Ad to the Amazon book (affiliate link) keeps on showing.

Just want to say this seems Illegal and I intent to seek legal action against plugin developer IF he does not correct this issue.

FYI the options to share ads are set to ZERO.

FYI this Amazon AD does NOT show up when plugin is deleted << hich is the proof this is a plugin *intentional action*.

    Developer, you read this?

Easy AdSense is designed to show the default ads (my ads) only in two cases:
    1. If the user has shared a certain fraction of his ad slots, the default ads show up there.
    2. If the user hasn't entered any ad code in a particular text box (where it says something like "if you don't enter your code here, the defaults ads will be displayed"), the ad slot corresponding to that box will show the default ads.

From your description, it looks like the default ads show up in other cases as well. If so, it has to be a bug. If you are using V2.95, and this is happening, I would recommend you disable or delete the plugin until its next update.

    manojtd,

The Ad promotes the exact same book you promote in Easy Adsense admin panel, top left, next to the donation option.

It ONLY shows up in middle ad box, not in first ad box or third ad box.

And yes, I deleted the plugin all together.

I hope WordPress.Org team analyses this incident asap to decide IF this plugin should be kept available for WordPress community users OR not.
