    Hi,

First I must say that your plugin is great and really saves a lot of time.

After updating the latest Duplicator version, I tried to copy a website to my local WAMP.

The problem is that all the Hebrew is unreadable…

I used to follow these instructions:
    1. When creating a package, be sure that in the options dialog the checkbox ‘Enable database encoding’ is unchecked
    2. When running the installer make sure the checkbox for ‘Enable MySQL character set’ is checked

    Please help…

  • Hey Simon,

It may be an issue with your local WAMP server setup. Here are a few options.

    OPTION 1:
Grab the very latest version and see if that fixes the issue it can be found by following these instructions:

    -> Browse to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/duplicator/developers/
-> Look for the section “Other Versions”
-> Click on “Development Version” and download the zip plugin file

    OPTION 2:
Submit a support ticket and I’ll validate to see if the data is transported correctly.

    Hope that helps!

OK, I downloaded the beta version as you recommended.

The Hebrew works fine on that version – that’s great, thanks!

A bug I did find in the installer, is that the file deleting doesn’t work – FYI.

I came across another two issues:
    1. Files uploaded to media in wordpress when the filenames are in Hebrew, the Hebrew turns into gibberish…
    2. if in the css there are urls to images that are not absolute, it doesn’t seem to work after duplication.

If I can help resolving these issues, please tell me.

    Simon

    Hey Simon,

Go ahead and submit a support ticket and I’ll look at your data directly. I’m not sure exactly how to reproduce your errors…

    Hey Simon,

    Any luck with this issue?
