Plugin does not install correctly in and shows code above dashboard

    I have tried installing using normal install method and also from downloading the zip file and doing it manually. The plugin is visiable in plugins area but when ‘Activated’ the Dashboard has the following text above the menu items ‘uninstall() ); ?>’ so it looks like some code is not closed off correctly. Therefore the plugin menu option is not available in the left menu bar in wp-admin and it cant be used.
