[Plugin: DMSGuestBook] how to assign guestbook? (5 posts)

I wanted a guestbook for my site (http://www.mattiaslundin.com) so I installed DMSGuestBook, and then it gives me a very vague description on how to assign a guestbook:

1.) Create a page where you want to display the DMSGuestbook.
2.) Save the page and assign it under "Guestbook settings" -> "Basic".
3.) Customize the guestbook to your desire!

So obviously I want the guestbook to appear under the section on my site called "Guestbook" but I have no idea how to do that, I tried googling but it did not yield any results.

I go to "Guestbook settings" -> "Basic" and all I can do is to set the language. There's no way to set which page it should appear on or anything like that. There are 3 colums which says like this:

    ID: 2
    Page: About
    Page status: Trash

the "trash" part is clickable which takes me to a page that says it can't be found. So what do I do?

Hi, this means actually you have one page (About) with ID 2 and this is moved to you trash. (not longer available). Is this only the single entry in your "Basic" section?

I didn't see a WordPress installation behind you page http://www.mattiaslundin.com. A redirect to http://mattiaslundin.com/wordpress/ shows neither a page like "Guestbook" nor an other page.

    Greetings,
    Dani

Yes that's the single entry in the "Basic" section.

Not sure what you meant with the WordPress installation. I have the wordpress content directed to the "Updates" section cause that's where I want it to appear, but I want the guestbook to appear under the "Guestbook" section.

http://mattiaslundin.com/guestbook.html doesn't shows any WordPress code.

If you want to redirect the WordPress guetbook output (like Updates on your pages -> http://mattiaslundin.com/wordpress/) you have to be sure, that your "Guestbook" page is set on status "publish".

After that you can redirect your page with a code like "http://mattiaslundin.com/wordpress/guestbook" or so. (similar Updates)

An other thing: Be sure that you selected a "page" for you guestbook and not a "post".

Otherwise you can give me admin access to you WordPress environment and I will check what is going wrong. Send the credentials to DMSGuestbook [at] DanielSchurter [.] Net

    Greetings,
    Dani

I don't know which code to put in to my guestbook.html page, or how to set my guestbook page to "publish", or how to select a page instead of a "post". Yea, I'm useless at this but there isn't really any documentation at all wherever I've looked.

I'm making you an administrator account, credentials should pop in to your mail automatically.

If you want to e-mail me personally you can do so either at admin@mattiaslundin.com or zaptagious@gmail.com

Also, thanks for taking the time and helping me out :)
