Sync doesn't seem to work for the comments. (5 posts)

    Hi,

I have this recent comment plugin which for a while just seems to ignore the comments made with Disqus. Until I discovered the sync comments button, then the older comments made with Disqus did show up under the recent comments.

But from what I have been reading, shouldn't Disqus automaticaly sync the comments? I really doesn't seem to work. Since my site is still under development its on pw protected page, could that the be reason the sync doesn't work? I did put <script type="text/javascript"> var disqus_developer = 1; </script> to the head of my page.

Any idea's why the automated sync doesn't work? The only way to get them into wordpress now, is to push the sync button manually. Its fine for now, but it kind of sucks if I would have to do that everyday :)

    Thanks!

I'm having the same issue over at http://GodisaGeek.com

Have to manually sync disqus with wordpress to show recent comments, pretty sure this was automatic about 3-4 months ago.

Can anyone shed any light on how to automate this?

...Ditto... I'm getting the same issue here. I have multiple programs on my site that snatch comments from facebook and twitter and bring them back to my site and appear threaded in the comment stream. It only works with the local wordpress database.

I read somewhere there's a cron job that tackles this. Where can I alter the cron job to run the sync every 30 minutes?

I got in touch with Disqus support and they said the sync feature isn't working for anyone right now, they're updating the plugin to fix it.

I thought it would've been fixed with the latest update... but nope.
