   I'm french and installed Disqus on my wordpress site, via the plugin. The Disqus texts are all in English. I can see that some other French sites have it in French. Do you know how to have this displayed either in French, or at least using the correct locale variable (fr_fr, en_en) ?

   Same here. I've already changed the "Language"-setting in the plugin's "Basic"-tab, but I don't see it using another language in the client- OR admin-side. I noticed the lack of custom locales in the plugin's folder - could that be the problem?

   Feedback to Disqus last month, but no solution.
   Disqus texts are all in English since new update.

   Hi everyone,
   Has someone find a way to translate the plugin yet ? I found a *.po file and ran it with poedit but it's only about the configuration text, not the displayed one.

   I stay tuned, thx everyone.

   same here. We have installed plugin and changed language to Polish, but on site Disqus is stll in English:

   Where's the catch!?

   It seem that the 2012 version of Disqus isn't translated.
   Disable Disqus 2012 features for your site and it will be in the language of your choosing.

   You can also force a language by applying javascript:

   var disqus_config = function () {
     this.language = "en";
   };

   Change "en" to for example Dutch "nl" and polish "pl".

    This worked for me too, at the time. Took a while for the change in settings to take effect, so wait a while (30 minutes, tops) before making the call.

    Same here, the UI of the "New" Disqus not translated at all. No support or documentation from them...
