   chp2009, can you make sure you're using the latest version of the plugin? (Version 1.4)

   The plugin is working fine with WordPress 2.9.1. You should not be seeing any update messages.

   Plugin updates are handled differently, and if you want to disable those then you'll need my Disable WordPress Plugin Updates plugin.
