    I’ve tried to reproduce this but can’t – have you tried disabling other active plugins then trying again, then re-activating other plugins one-by-one?

    This plugin disables both the script that outputs the pointers (‘wp-pointer’) and the CSS styling.

    Yup, I’d done that. Just checked it again on the same clean install (though know upgraded to 3.4) and it’s working fine.

    Perhaps something was wrong with the install in that case. No bother, thanks for looking!
