Twitter button no longer displays tweet count (6 posts)

    After the last two updates (now on Version 5.0.5), the manual placement compact twitter button no longer displays the tweet count. This was working up to version 5.0.3, I think, no other changes on my website.

    Not sure what's going on there, any ideas?

    Yeah same problem here. Twitter has corrected the issue with the Tweet button getting extra wide, so whatever workaround Buffer implemented will have to be changed. For now, I'm just sticking with 5.0.2.

    I'm only using Buffer for floating buttons, and upgrading to 5.0.3+ hides the count on my Twitter buttons (from AddThis).

    Hey guys,

    Great to hear from you and thanks a lot for the heads up on this.

    Unfortunately, this is a bug from Twitter. We have emailed them and hope they will resolve the issue soon. I am sure it won't be long.

    Hope that helps! Please let me know if you ever have any more questions or suggestions for us to improve Digg Digg. Would love to hear it! :)

    I have seen similar problems with the twitter tweet count not showing as well as other style issues generated from upgrading from v4 to v5. You recently added an update for the vertical tweet count twitter button. The code looks like this.

    /* fix for Twitter vertical count style button width bug */
    .twitter-share-button {
    width: 55px !important;
    }

    The problem is that this applies to all twitter buttons with that class, even those not created by digg digg, and even those that are not of a vertical tweet count style. Since the bug you were experiencing is for vertical count style buttons, I suggest you use the class you have created for vertical buttons and which is included in the iFrame for all your vertical count tweet buttons.

    /* fix for Twitter vertical count style button width bug */
    .twitter-share-button.twitter-count-vertical {
    width: 55px !important;
    }

    This took care of a number of css conflicts we were experiencing.

    Hi Joe, sephage and Eminemdrdre00,

    You are right, we made a mistake there. Initially we thought it was a problem from Twitter, but it was actually a problem caused from our side. This should all be fixed now though.

    If you just get the latest Digg Digg update, all should be working normally now for you.

    Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be delighted to hear from you.

    Best,
    Leo, Co-Founder at Digg Digg by Buffer
