[resolved] floater can't disable on post pages? (6 posts)

    I wanted to just display the floater on my site's homepage, but not on the post pages. But when I uncheck the "post" box and save, the box would come back as checked after refresh. Is it possible to disable on post pages?

    I'm having the same issue, can't disable floating on post pages.

    I want floating on home only, normal on posts.

    Can't Uncheck Post in Digg Digg Floating Display: Solution

    I was having the same problem as linewbie above. It would seem like it's a pretty obvious problem--the box won't uncheck!

    I came up with a work around that seems to be working just fine.

    On the "Floating Display Menu", under "Display Configuration", click the "include" radio button and type "None" next to it. So, essentially, even though we cannot uncheck "posts", we include none of them.

    I have implemented this and it's working fine for me.

    You can see that our home page has the floating display but posts do not at: http://theseosystem.com/

    Here is the code that worked for me:

    /** Exclude DiggDigg from specific pages */
    function eo_exclude_digg_digg() {
    if(is_page(array(1, 2, 3, 4))) {
          remove_filter('the_excerpt', 'dd_hook_wp_content');
        	remove_filter('the_content', 'dd_hook_wp_content');
    	}
    }
    add_action('template_redirect', 'eo_exclude_digg_digg');

    ...where 1, 2, 3, 4 are the ids of the pages you want to exclude DiggDigg from.

    This is now documented in the FAQ for version 5.3.1. Thanks Eugen.
