    Hi,
I really liked your plugin, but apart from the fact I couldn’t get the category-icons function get working I realized the following very big problem:
On deleting the plugin deletes all the geodata stored in the custom fields. Years of work gone.
    No warning nowhere!

I would recomend: Don’t use that plugin!

WordPress is giving an warning if you delete the “Pronamic Google Maps” plugin:

    Delete Plugins

You are about to remove the following plugins:

Pronamic Google Maps by Pronamic (will also delete its data)

Are you sure you wish to delete these files and data?

You have to click “Yes, Delete these files and data” button to delete al the files and data.

    Hi,
    thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, it is deleting ITs data. It dosn’t say anything about deleting meta-data of the posts. Thats a big difference.
And if I understand it right, there is noch possibility to deactivae the plugin without deleting the data?
    Thats crazy, sorry.

Deleting and Deactivating are 2 different things. You have the option under a Plugin to be deactivated. This will make the area around the plugin appear grey and none of the plugin will load.

Uninstallation/Deletion removes ALL data. Imagine if the otherwise, data always stayed even after removal? Your site would get very slow after a time if every plugin left all its data after you asked it to leave.

Again: You constructed a plugin which can’t be deleted!
Thats the first plugin who takes controll over the WordPress-Custom-Fields Databases!
    You can’t simply do that.
Imagine what big problem I have now to restore my database.
