   Could you explain a manual installation :

   1) i don't think you need wpcontent set at 755
   2) I can't set wpcontent at 755 on my host ( and this problem should appear with other users ).

   I can confirm that I too am receiving the same message about needing to CHMOD the wp-content folder to 755.

   I did as suggested, however it then stated that it lacked write permissions for the config.ini file. I'm a little curious about that particular error because according to the source code in the plugin I think it should be writing to db-config.ini, no? I could be wrong.

   my solution was simple
   this happend when in plesk is enable the option PHP on safe mode
   the solution is deactivate it
