    Hi mashti30,

    My live search plugin doesn’t require any special widgets or shortcodes. In fact, that’s why I wrote it — I didn’t like how the other ones out there expected you to paste their HTML into your theme or use their special widget.

    If you don’t want to use the stock WordPress widget, you can create your own by having an HTML form which submits to the front page of your site and has an input field named “s”. You could put it in an HTML widget to give it exactly the markup you want, or even put the code right in your theme.
