I am fixing to go back to school for Web Dev ... I have talked to some people to get a feel for what web dev is to different people ...
one interesting thing I have heard is ... that the learning HARDCORE PROGRAMMING (PHP) etc. doesnt translate well into WordPress PHP ... if this is the case ... what am I to do ... I am only doing the web dev schooling so I can build wordpress sites and the plugins for functionality ... and allowing them to be viewed on a mobile device ... nothing more ...

Well I have been programming since the last several years. If you ask me what is web development, I believe its an art to make the sites work.

I think wordpress sites have cornered this market ... some of the most amazing sites I have literally seen are wordpress ... hence my commitment to make wp my go to development when building for clients ... but I want to be well rounded enough to build anything if need be ...
