I'm using this plugin on a site that allows people to sign up as authors and post from the frontend and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to change the setting from subscriber to author (or add them).

Posted 2 years ago #I just coded this into CYC (and also made some other fixes and enhancements).
You can get the modified php at http://ootips.org/yonat/cyc.php.gz
(I may not keep it there for long, though.)
