   Plugin: Customizable Comment Listings

   Description:
   Display Recent Comments, Pingbacks, and/or Trackbacks, as well as other comment listings using the comment and/or post information of your choosing in an easily customizable manner. You can narrow comment searches by specifying post IDs, comment types, and/or comment status, among other things.

   Notes:

   You recall the Customizable Post Listings plugin? Well, this is the comments listing equivalent. Highly customizable way of both generating recent comments AND recent/top commenters listings, and then customizing the display of each element in the listing via percent substitution tags which give you access to most all information pertaining to the comment and the post it is contained within.

   Hi,

   Can you advise which bit of the code I would change to increase the number of words shown in the excerpts?

   About line 219 you should see this line:

   $excerpt_words = 6; // Number of words to use for %post_excerpt_short%

   Change the 6 to the number of words you'd like to have shown. Or if you'd rather show X number of characters instead, set the above value to 0 and adjust the setting for $excerpt_length (the next line).
