Custom Post Widget
[resolved] Show Post Title and Do not apply content filters (2 posts)

    Just installed the plugin and I think it can really work out great for our needs, however, I noticed two issues with it:

    1) If I check off the Show Post Title, it still won't show the post title on the front end of the site.

    2) If I DON'T check the Do Not Apply Content Filters box then it seems it shows a random excerpt from the blog (excerpt text and continue reading button). If I DO check this box, then it will show the content block I've chosen to display (minus the title).

    Would really like to get these two bugs fixed.

    Thanks

    It is a bit difficult to figure out what is going wrong without having seen your site, but I would suggest to first check how you have defined your widget areas.

    Your code should look similar to this:

    register_sidebar(array(
    	'name' => 'Sidebar',
    	'id' => 'main-sidebar',
    	'description' => __( 'Located at the right side of pages.'),
    	'before_widget' => '<div id="%1$s" class="%2$s">',
    	'after_widget' => '</div>',
    	'before_title' => '<h3>',
    	'after_title' => '</h3>',
    ));

    As the issues you mention are most likely related to the theme you are using, I would recommend testing the widget with one of the default WordPress themes first.
