   I'd like to use the 'apply to all categories' option which seems to sort the order of custom taxonomies too, but then exclude a specific category if possible - Is there any way to exclude specific categories instead of including them?

   I have it also affecting my widgets in particular the one of "most recent posts".. It shows the oldest posts as most recent and there is no option to change this.. is there an area to comment out or something along those lines?
