[Plugin: Custom Field Template] How can users enter text or choose option with select type field

Hello

I’d like to add the capability for users to type their own text as an option in a select list (type = select) – so as to say ‘choose a ready made option or enter your own’.

Can anyone suggest a way to achieve this or point me in the direction of a solution?
