[Plugin: Custom Field Taxonomies] how to query from url

wp 3.21 and Custom Field Taxonomies 2.0.2

i had wp 2.8 and CFT 1.3 and i used to query http://www.mysite.com/?cat=56&fruits=apple

now it won’t work.

should I convert the custom field “fruits” into tag or category to perform this url query in TOOLS/

or should i use another plugin as Query Multiple Taxonomies
